Urban Multipurpose Aboriginal Youth Centre
Objective
UMAYC is a national program that creates a network of youth centres that will provide Urban Aboriginal youth with accessible community-based, culturally relevant and supportive projects, programs, services and counselling.
UMAYC aims to improve the economic, social and personal prospects of Aboriginal youth through comprehensive programming.
Target Group
Aboriginal youth from age 15 to 24 with special programming directed towards those from 10 - 14 and 25 - 29 years of age.

- Girls Night Drop In - Wednesday evenings
- Youth Night Drop In - Thursday evenings
- Cultural field trips and events
- Crafts and activity nights
- Workshops
Youth Advisory Counsil
The UMAYC Youth Advisory Council is actively involved with program planning, development, and delivery of the UMAYC projects. This youth council is made up of eight youth from the community. Youth participating on the council must be between the ages of 15 and 24.
